  • Before we chose our pool company we read all the reviews of all the local pool companies and we had several meetings. All pool companies have bad reviews so we were forced to base our decision on the service the professionalism and the price. Our pool designer Michael, was very knowledgeable and very professional, and worked with us to revise the design several times until we were happy. We wanted a design that was very clean and simple and a yard that was very low maintenance. We had a small space to work with since we were adding a pool to a new build construction. As you know most of the homebuilders today have small lots. So we chose the biggest lot we could find and the smallest house, so we would have room for a pool. Our development was Richmond American. Michael did all the paperwork for architectural review and got everything approved seamlessly. All of the building steps went according to plan and we were amazed at the complexity of building a pool from scratch. It was so cool to see your pool being built and the quality workmanship that went into it. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five, was there were days when nothing was happening and we were anxious to get it done. I know they have a schedule, and other clients to work with, but we wanted it worked on every day if we could. When I would call the office to inquire sometimes the scheduling girls were a little put off by my questions, because "we were still on schedule". In the end the job was completed on schedule and it was beautiful. We also did our landscaping with Desert Springs Landscape. While it was slightly more expensive then had we done it ourselves, the ease and convenience of having all the scheduling work together, and being able to finance the project altogether, made it worth it. We went for a very simple clean design. Patio cover, artificial turf, white decomposed granite, three trees, 10 plants, and some climbing figs. Our job was finished at the end of September and we went right into winter mode with a very windy winter season and lots of cold weather. All of the landscaping and all of the trees and plants held up beautifully and everything is in good bloom now. If you're looking for good trees to put in around a pool from our experience, I suggest Australian bottle nose and magnolias. The Australian trees Are fast growing give big shade, and do not drop leaves during the winter to fill your pool. I'm counting the days to be able to swim every day in our new pool as our job was completed in the winter time. We've enjoyed our Jacuzzi throughout the season and soon will be swimming and playing volleyball in a beautiful pool by Desert Springs. My photos include the original rendering and the final product. Because of the small space it's hard to get a photo of the whole job together but it's exactly as the rendering.
