| - Pho (pronounced f-uh) rhymes with duh.. ha!
Pho Van is located at the Strip. I like Pho Van, it gets the job done. The add in's are hit or miss. Sometimes you'll get cilantro, mint and other times you won't. But you'll definitely get the bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil, and lime. The last time I was here, they skimped out. However, the waitress did ask if I wanted more this time.
The pho broth was meh.. okay. Had to add some hoisin, chili oil, and paste to add some flavor. My favorite pho dish here is the combo of rare steak and brisket. Hits the spot on a cold day. Pho Van is expensive for a small bowl of pho. They don't even offer different sizes. What if I want a large bowl or x-large bowl? Trust me, I can eat some pho! I seriously inhaled the bowl in 5 minutes.
The bun. Two words. Sad. Expensive. You don't get much for what you pay for at this joint. But I guess the selection of Vietnamese cuisine is scarce in the Burgh, there's not much you can do about that.
The menu selection is small. Not much to choose from. :(
Although, it's cheap eats.. the quality and quantity doesn't add up compared to other places (not in the burgh). It won't break the bank.
