Finally made it over to Dubina. Been meaning to give it a try for years.
It is in the old Sky Box building in the corner of the plaza on NE Bell and 67th Ave.
They made pretty good use of the space. There are a couple of leather chairs when you walk in and a homemade extra large jenga game set up. There are several high top bars and one long high top table that can probably seat about 20 people. They threw an epoxy on it and it is very inviting to sit and drink beer at with a large group of people.
We sat at the long table and the bartender came by quickly to welcome us and give us menus and quick run down of the happy hour. I didn't catch her name but she was petite and had red hair. Very friendly and helpful.
We ordered a couple flights and a pretzel. The flights came out very quickly as did the pretzel.
The first beer was a gose. It was pretty good. Tasted just like a gose should. Light with a little bit of puckerness. Easy to drink. The next was the Bell Rd IPA. I was not a fan of it. The alcohol really came thru the profile with some grassiness. The next was the pilsner. I'm really not a fan of this style in general but it was probably as good as any for me. Next was the blood orange IPA. This beer was really good. In fact we ordered a single of it after the flight. Very well balanced, good aroma and hops, and very easy on the palate. Ended with the blueberry wheat. It was also pretty tasty. Fruity and refreshing and easy to drink.
The pretzel was fresh and tasty. The nacho sauce tasted like it came out of a jug from smart and final.
I would come back here again if I was in the area to see what else they have on rotation and due to the excellent service.
