| - My husband chose Wahlburgers as his birthday dinner. There were 5 of us. We were a little nervous because there was an Indians game and a Cleveland and a concert at the Q - but our wait was only about 20 minutes. After we were seated, we ordered 4 waters WITH LEMON and a bourbon beer and sweet potato tater tots to start.
The tater tots were absolutely delicious. Waitress forgot the lemons, and they ran out of the beer we wanted. They also "ran out of cups, but got the plastic ones ones our water was served in from "somewhere" - a little sketchy"
Anyway, on to food, we had 3 burgers, they were good, not the best I've ever had, but not the worst either. A portabella mushroom burger, was good. And a Mom's sloppy joe - which my mom said was good. So over all the food was good.
Also ordered the onion rings (which were really onion straws), but in my opinion were the highlight of the dinner.
A few things:
* they didn't have lemons (despite being a restaurant and full service bar)
* the special Wahl-sauce tasted like ketchup, mayo and water
* the BBQ sauce tasted just like the Wahl-sauce
* they "ran out of cups"
* I don't understand the wire baskets instead of plates, plastic silverware and paper cups format - I wish it wa
* the waitress had "no clue" what the feature burger was
* the check in process was a pad of paper, which the host wrote our name and phone number - took forever
* despite being seated within 20 minutes, it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to greet us, and then about 30 minutes for the food to come to the table
* everything was ala carte - so the $9 burger, plus $3.50 side was pretty expensive for "average" especially if you want a
Overall I think it was good - and hopefully because it's new they are going through growing pains, and once they get their ordering system up and running, as well as fully trained staff (our waitress was not knowledgeable of anything and kept using the phrase "I have no clue") things will get better!
