| - The Beatles LOVE isn't my favorite Cirque du Soleil show, but it's definitely worth seeing at least once. You can expect more dancing than acrobatic performances. The show I went to was the 4th iteration. I haven't seen LOVE prior, so it may be interesting for anyone else who has seen it previously to compare how the acts have changed and/or improved.
I laughed, I almost cried, and I sang along often. I knew enough of the Beatles songs in the show, and I'm sure that the songs are in a rotation for every iteration. I also found that the songs were used appropriately. I thought it was cool how interactive the stage and props were. I don't want to give anything away, but the octopus' garden was an amazing, psychedelic spectacle.
What I look for in a good Cirque du Soleil show is story development. In most (if not all) Cirque du Soleil shows, a clown goes through this wild ride through a different world. For LOVE, a sad clown goes on a journey where he experiences war, a crazy devil circus, death, etc. Love, however, always triumphs. Even though the clown's story is a linear one, I liked how there were so many things he walked through.
