I walked in and there was a homeless man napping at one of the tables. The staff was nowhere to be seen - they were hanging out by the fridges in back. When one of the barristas finally came to the front, I explained that I was hoping to get some work done and asked if they could turn down the uncharacteristically blaring music. They acknowledged it was really loud but said the only other option would be to turn it off which seemed like a really reasonable option but they said Starbucks doesn't let them do that.
All in all, a super unpleasant Starbucks experience. Truly, they have become the McDonalds of coffee. Managed to find Coffee and All That Jazz around the corner and the difference was striking. Chill vibe, friendly staff, and comfortable interior.
