  • We stopped by Wayvine on the way home from Lititiz, PA. It was our first time and definitely won't be our last. This winery is really wonderful. The owner is super accommodating. She insisted we sit in the best seats overlooking the vineyard and she would do our tasting from there. Then she brought the wines one-by-one to us to try. All the wines were really great but our favorite was the "mistake" oaked Chardonnay. Apparently the barrels were a little too charred and the wine turned out very, very oaky. Some people may not love it but if you really enjoy bourbons and whiskies, this wine will knock your socks off. And it's essentially limited edition because they won't make that mistake again so get it while you can. I can't wait to go back and see if they make any more mistakes! :)
