| - I chose them as my primary starting Jan 2014. They were called Las Vegas Internal Medicine. It was a husband & wife team with a strange business plan. She, Fauzia, had a primary care practice in the same office as his, Ralph's, urgent care practice. If I needed a same day appointment with my primary doctor, they said that it would be considered to be a higher rate urgent care rate visit.
It was very uncomfortable sitting in an office with patients with emergency situations. The staff is terrible and many seem to be students wearing PIMA MED SCHOOL scrubs . They often screwed up appointment times. etc. I once signed in & waited 20 min before going to the desk - they had just forgotten about me. I spoke to the doctor about it & she was very concerned, but the situation did not improve. Another time I was left to wait in the examining room after seeing the doctor. I told the assistant that I thought we were done & he insisted that the doctor was coming back & I needed to wait. After another 10 min I opened the door, called to him & asked him to please check because I was pretty sure that the doctor was done with me. He checked, said he was sorry & that I could leave.
I last saw her at the end of Oct 2014. When I had a problem & phoned for an appointment at the end of Dec 2014, I was told that they no longer were seeing primary care patients. I had not even received a post card & I had to scramble to find another doctor while ill. I thought that she was a good doctor (it was the only reason I kept going back), but this was VERY UNETHICAL!
*** I'd have appreciated a phone call when they left me without a primary care physician. Instead I got a damage control phone message from the doctor within hours of this Yelp review! I think that the office manager's time spent monitoring reviews would be much better spent training her staff.
***** Doctor reply below is total BS. The insurance provider list has suite 210 on it, & on my first visit I went to that office for my appt & was sent to the urgent care office next door (suite #200) where both Ralph (urgent care) & Fauzia Carullo (primary care) worked out of the same office (If I remember correctly the other office said that they were pediatric). For one of my several appts Ralph even filled in for his wife & saw me for my primary care! I even have a business card for LV INTERNAL MEDICINE that has suite #200 on it!
