I feel like all SAs at Aritzia are exactly the same. Once they see you holding a piece of clothing in your hands, they'll hound you asking if "you want me to get the purchase started at the register". I always refuse because the prices here are so high that I need a walk around the store to decide if I truly want to buy it.
I prefer this Aritzia to the one at Eaton's Centre because well, any Aritzia beats the Eaton's Centre location with their horrendous staff and disorganized layout. The Yorkville location is also more peaceful and I find it always has better stock.
I'm guilty of buying $60 cotton t-shirts here which have fit amazingly and sometimes their end of season sales are incredible. It's not worth it buying clothing full-priced here unless you absolutely can't wait because almost everything goes on sale if you wait a few more months. Quality is suspect because it's very hit-or-miss. The jersey fabrics are all synthetic and I've gotten $55 dollar rayon material dresses here that have shrunk on the first wash with COLD WATER and were washed by hand.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an Aritzia hater. In fact, I actually love the clothing and the minimalist thing they have going on right now. The shopping experience at Aritzia is uncomfortable and the prices are not worth it for many of their products ($60 baseball caps, $90 scarves and $300 dollar blazers made out of "fabric from Japan" come to mind). It's a store with great, albeit expensive clothing, but I don't want to look like every other girl out there with the blanket scarves and MJ purses.
I work close to here so I'll most definitely drop by in the future but I definitely won't be enjoying the experience. Just give me my shopping bags and let me get the hell out!
