| - Poor management, extremely disorganized. I was hired under the impression that they wanted me to help them expand. Literally worked there *maybe* 20 hours over the course of a few months, had to call them when I didn't get my last paycheck as scheduled, only to be told "oh, I was about to email you -- we cancelled your classes because they were both down to only one student," and made excuses as to why they hadn't let me know sooner. Incredibly bad experience with them! Not only that, they make you sign a contract that you won't work for any of their competition for two full years once you no longer work with them. I was never included in the expansion plans they supposedly specifically hired me for, and they don't take recommendations from their teachers as to what material is age-appropriate for their students. Oh, and the owner/manager freely admitted to having played organ as a child but not knowing a thing about music as an adult.
To sum up: no communication skills, poor management, disorganized scheduling, and no sense of anything beyond the money. If you don't know anything about music, you shouldn't own a music academy. End of discussion.
