| - I'm so happy to live so close to this fantastic place. Pulp Kitchen offer a wide array of juices and smoothies, the latter of which can be customised with your own choice of milk and various added boosters.
You can tell a lot of thought and research has gone into their menu, with the cleverly named juices and smoothies specifying in their title what they can help you achieve, e.g: 'Immunity', 'Vitality', 'Detox Darling', etc. The superfood wheatgrass is also offered (how healthy can you get?!), as well as a selection of coffees, teas and hot chocolates, for those not in the mood for juice.
The drinks themselves are delicious, and are as healthy as they are tasty. My favourite so far as been the Red Blazer, but everything I've tried has been magnificent!I I haven't tried anything from their food menu just yet, but their wraps and quinoa salad are definitely tempting me. A special lunch deal offering any drink and food item for just $10 (inc tax - I THINK - don't quote me on that!) on weekdays between 11.30-2.30 is offered, which is remarkable value considering the quality of all the ingredients, and fast preparation time.
This place truly cares about its customers, and the menu designers clearly put dedication and research into their work. This is most evident through Pulp Kitchen's three-day 'Juice Cleanse' program. This program incorporates some of PK's best smoothies into a detox regime, with the customer given all the help and nutritional information required along the way. Brilliant!
I'm taking one star away from this great smoothie bar simply because the prices can, overall, be extortionate. Yes, I know I mentioned their wonderful lunch combo deal, and I do believe Pulp Kitchen offer 'savings cards' for regular customers who can get discounted drinks. Outside of these special deals, however, just stopping in for a quick juice or smoothie can easily rack up close to ten dollars. I paid $9.50 + last week for one of their smoothies with an added booster. Yes, the ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared, but for a 16oz smoothie, $10 is just too much. That's my only other gripe with this place - only two sizes are offered. 16oz is small for a juice/smoothie, I feel, but the other size offered, one whole litre, is excessive. That's more than a Starbucks trenta in the U.S! It would be absolutely wonderful if a mid-size, say 20/24oz like those in major juice chains, could be incorporated into PK's menu, as surely this is the optimum size for most people.
Those two minor annoyances aside, PK is the best juice bar I have ever been to!
