| rev:text | To New Yorkers, Arthur Avenue in the Bronx is a special place. There, you can find some of the best Italian delis in the entirer city. And if you like Italian food, and we love Italian food -- it's like a little bit of heaven.
We came to New York's Best Italian Bistro (NYBIB) recently and were warmly welcomed by owners Donna (photo) and her husband. After a chance encounter nearly twenty years ago (which led to their engagement and marriage), they started this restaurant. True story.
Today they have the entirer family working here, serving mostly northern Italian cuisine. A simple way of looking at it -- think more butter and less olive oil and garlic.
How many restaurants go out of their way to warmly greet their patrons as they come in. Really? No handing of a pager here. LOL
EVERYTHING, is good on the menu. Yes, we've tried most of it. The pastas, the chicken, pizza, desserts; nothing is bad. I've posted a bunch of photos to help get your salivary glands working. Expect to pay $25 each, plus tip and gratuities. |
