If I was scoring this park against other Calgary parks I'd give this four stars. But other reviewers have mentioned some international parks. Therefore I think three stars is generous.
The park is clean and well managed and the concrete and pathway infrastructure is functional but not unusually elegant for a park. It is well situated in the core of the city that puts anything in the core within walking distance.
It is very much an oasis in the often harsh climate of Canada. Other parks in the city offer much larger spaces, more scenic experiences, more variety, and more extensive walking trails, not to mention being much quieter and more placid the the noisy core of this city.
Obviously it's not the parks fault where it is and there is no hope of reducing the noise but it is a feature that you should take into account if you want peace and quiet.
That said it is probably the quietest (or one of the quietest) areas right in the downtown core.
