| - I've only been to Coffee Buddha once, but it was a sweet, sweet visit! The owner was super friendly and helpful to my coffee-ignorant friend, who likes coffee but knows nothing about it. As for me, the coffee I ordered, which was one on feature that afternoon, was very satisfying (and I am far from coffee-ignorant.)
As others have noted, the atmosphere and feel/energy of the place is just very unique and welcoming, and you relax at once as there is no uptight or hoighty-toighty vibe going on here. No need to look around and see if you fit in with any type of patron... all are welcome.
I didn't try anything from the menu, but a lady friend of the owner was there that afternoon and had made some sort of snack (hot, salty and crispy, right up my alley!) that she was offering-- I felt like I was "home" while there.
I'll definitely go back. My dear old Dad even went there with a friend of his from work and called me, raving about it and saying I had to go visit-- too late, Dad-- been there, done that, will do it again! This place is, indeed, an oasis of sorts in the normally drab and blasé world of suburbia. Thank goodness for Coffee Buddha!
