| - Beware when going to the European Waxing Center, it's hit or miss. I've had two experiences here: meh. and AWFUL.
Meh: I had my brows and upper lip done the first time. The brows were complementary (since it was my first time at EWC), and you could tell because the technician didn't remove the new growth from my eyebrows, just the hairs on the perimeter. So I had to go home and tweeze them myself.
The upper lip job was fantastic, as minimally painful as humanly possible.
The first experience was decent, so I figured I'd go for a brazilian and lip wax the second time I visited. What a nightmare. The technician smeared a thick layer of wax and pulled it off in short halting motions. I was in tears after my face was ravaged. Then she put wax on the crease of my thigh front-to-back in a strip that was about 9 inches long and 2 inches wide and ripped it off in short, halting tugs. I told her to finish, and she left a dime-sized glob of wax that took hours to remove at home.
Mind you, I have my own professional waxing kit, so I know that you are supposed to work with small sections, and pull quickly against the direction of hair growth.
Maybe that one technician was sloppy and lacked proper technique. But it only takes one person to destroy your nether region, do you really want to take that gamble?
