The food was good. The service was terrible. We were with another couple and we had made a reservation the previous day. When we arrived, we had to wait to check in and when someone (the owner) finally came to the front, we were told that our name was not on the list. This was a busy Saturday night and we would have to wait 3 hours for a table. We were offered a table outside on their patio with no wait. Unfortunately, it was a cold night, only in the high 40's and their heaters gave very little comfort and warmth. One heater worked better than the other, but only if you sat directly under it. We were freezing! To make matters worse, we seemed to have been mostly forgotten out there. Extremely slow and terrible service. Our waiter was very friendly but the restaurant was clearly under staffed. We felt that the owner was not very accommodating. It took quite a long time for us to be served our food. We noticed some tables inside - who arrived after us - being served before our food was brought out. Our friends ordered the lamb shish kabob medium rare and it was served well done but our food was very good. We asked for more pita bread several times and we did not receive it until near the end of our meal. We also asked for more hot tea (to stay warm) and it too, was not brought out until near the end of our meal.
When the tables inside started to clear out, we asked if we could please eat our dessert inside where it was warmer. The ice cream was excellent. There was a large party that was finishing up and they were letting their 3 kids run wild throughout the restaurant. We couldn't hear each speak over the screaming kids so that's when we decided to leave.
We were excited to try this place after reading such good reviews and seeing it on Check Please Arizona. We left feeling so profoundly disappointed. The food was good, but our experience is preventing us from ever wanting to come back.
