Shady sales practices and lousy customer service. Buyer beware!!
We called enercare for an issue with our rental water tank. The representative talked us into setting up the heating and cooling maintenance plan. After a couple of weeks we thought it over and changed our mind. So we called them back to cancel the service and were told no we can't cancel because we are locked in for a one year contract. Well this was news to us, we had no idea this was going to be a contract.
After speaking with a supervisor there he referred me to the 'Terms and conditions' document they sent me by email. I read through it and of course no mention of a contract but instead it refers to a 12 month plan. Well to me, plan and contract are 2 different things.
On top of all this the supervisor was rude, he kept talking over me and interrupting me. I finally asked him why he was getting so upset with me to which he responded because I'm not understanding what he's telling me.
Train your people better enercare so they know how to work with customers and not against them.
Anyhow, buyer beware, they are very slick with their sales approach but know that you are going to be locked in for a year.
Enercare, you may want to amend your approach and tactics so that the consumer is crystal clear they are entering into a contract. Other companies do this - look to rogers or bell. I feel like I've been lied to and ripped off. So angry.
