I've been meaning to get down to 44 Wide for a while and after seeing Neil T.'s glowing review I made a point of checking it out today.
They were busy when I walked in. The staff were helping a couple of customers and they had a workshop going on as well. I didn't mind waiting as there were some great prints to look at.
When Mike was finished with the couple he was helping he greeted me and asked what I was looking for. I explained that I wasn't 100% sure about the size and finishing of the photo I wanted to have printed so Mike gave me the grand tour of the place. He showed off the printers, talking about their specs. Then in the back he talked about the canvas and coating they use and why. Finally he pulled some finished pieces out of the shelving and talked about prices so I could determine what I would be looking at.
Mike also let me know about a workshop they do. For $150 you go on a photo walk for a couple hours. When you come back they take you through Lightroom and you can play with the photos you just took. They'll help you through the workflow process and help you get the best results from your shots. For the price, it seems like a pretty good deal.
I'm definitely coming back here soon to get my photo printed. I'll update with the results.
