| - I don't every really take to time to write a review, I'm generally of the opinion that perhaps my experience was a one off and I'd rather not taint the company with a poor review.
However, my experience with Milestone relocation 100 percent unacceptable. The whole process started off smoothly, I called a week ahead of time to schedule the move, told my move coordinator what I needed to move so they could have an estimate on how long it would take. I was then told no problem, they had a crew available for the day I requested between 2-4. Awesome! I scheduled my day so that I would have the time to make sure packing was completely done and ready to be moved. Whole house was packed up and ready to move by 2pm. Sat around until about 3:30 when I finally got a call from the movers. For whatever reason my move was scheduled to happen after a massive move in a city an hour away from Charlotte. The mover was very polite and explained that they would possibly be arriving closer to 6pm but they would come. Okay fine, I guess I can run so errands in the area to kill time. 5:50pm rolls around still haven't heard anything. So I called the company line. Guess what, they close at 6pm so no one answered. I was able to called the mover back on his phone, when he informed me that sorry they still weren't done, probably closer to 8pm but he promised they would be there. Okay, sure I'll treat myself to dinner in the area so I won't be far when it's go time. Guess what, 8pm rolls around still haven't heard anything. Got in touch with the mover again around 8:30pm and he promises that no matter what they will come move me tonight, but they still had some work to do and he didn't want to give me another time frame. Sorry no, I am not going to have movers that I don't know moving me out of my house at 11/midnight.
I requested that he get in touch with his boss and guarantee me a slot in the morning. I got a phone call back shortly after that to say that I was all set. They promise to be at my house between 10-12. I wish that's where the story ends.
In the meantime I emailed my move coordinator and explained what happened and requested that he call me first thing in the morning to explain how that could happen and really I just wanted an apology. Never heard from the guy even through the next days debacle. I had to call him several times.
Next morning rolls around, 10:30 am comes and I haven't heard anything from anyone. Called Milestone and was given the run around essentially, that my crew was on their way and they would get in contact with someone on the truck and give me a call back. 11 am comes still no mover or truck, 11:30 nothing. 12 I'm done. I called milestone again, and explained that I had rearranged my days for these guys and no one showed up. I still wasn't given an apology, just told that they don't know why the guys weren't there or where they were. Fine. Cancelled and was able to book another company to come within 2 hours.
Finally got moved out a total of 28 hours after milestone was suppose to start my move.
You can use this company if you have a couple spare days or hours on your hands and enjoy twiddling your thumbs for hours on end waiting for people that won't actually show up.
