This is probably more of a 3.5 star dinner for me, and would have gotten four stars if I wasn't still hungry when I left Mix.
So this was the restaurant my husband and I went to for a romantic dinner, and also to celebrate my passing my PMP exam a few weeks before. We had restaurant.com certificates from here and Aureole, so I decided to give Mix a try, since my impression of Aureole that part of the experience of going there is to buy their really expensive wine to watch the wine angels grab it for you. I didn't want to spend that much so Mix seemed like a better choice.
I know this is a Michelin star restaurant, but I wish I could have felt satisfied with just an entree at this place. While some of the food was some of the best I have ever had, I just question the point of charging so much for so little, especially in a town hard-hit by a recession.
Those of you that are a fan of this type of upscale food don't hate me, I want to be a foodie so bad but I just don't want to sell my house to pay for it. I am an unemployed student, after all! And good quality food should be accessible to everyone, not those who can afford to pay the premium prices.
