Twice now I have helped a friend change the wheels on his car for when he goes from summer to winter tires and vice versa. Each time it has required an obscene amount of effort just to break the lugs. The person behind Walter's wheel changes doesn't seem to understand the importance of appropriate torque applications and probably just whizzes the bolts on using the maximum torque setting. My impact gun is capable of 400ft lbs and I couldn't break them loose. I ultimately had to use a hydraulic jack and a large wrench to break the lugs. This is a concern that has been brought up to the company multiple times and has obviously been ignored multiple times. The icing on the cake? They broke one of the lug bolts on his car and then had the gall to charge him for it.
