| - Pursuit OCR is a great place for a physical challenge with a group of friends or a date. You can either grab all day pass, or be part of a class. After signing a few waivers and a brief explanation of each physical obstacle, you are free to run the course as you want.
Pursuit includes different climbing exercises using ropes, bars, rings are blocks. Running exercises include sprinting up 2 different half pipes. Balance exercises using a slack line. Some games to use when taking breaks and resting your body (pinball, foosball). Lastly and the most fun is a full circuit with directional hours. For participants who cant complete the more physical challenges, the very friendly staff is around to give you tips on how use your body and get past each challenge.
The price is very affordable at $20 per person for the day, considering the amount of fun you will have. Its a great activity if you're tired of normal lazy activities (eating, seeing movies). This was a lot of fun in the winter, as outdoor activities are limited. Consider bringing friends and making the day a bit competitive.
We had a great time and will likely return when we get stir crazy in the winter. Great upper body workout, be warned you will get some bruises, but its part of the fun.
Tips:
- Wear comfortable athletic clothes
- Stretch First (the obstacles will activate some muscles you don't normally workout)
- Bring some water (these obstacles are tiring)
- Try doing the obstacle circuit a few times, track your time and see if you can do it faster
- Bring your own lock for the lockers
- The location is in west end of Toronto north of Queen West, parking is not readily available so arrive early and find a spot
Enjoy and stay active!
