  • I had surgery done by Dr. Sorelle last year; I had a lateral released, carpal tunnel surgery and a year after my surgery nothing has changed rather I am still in excruciating pain all the time. I regret having surgery for it did not help me at all. I do not take any pain killers and refused to. I am back in the VA for OT (Occupational Therapy) which Dr. Sorelle did not recommend after surgery. Yes they did check up on me after my surgery; 3 days and 10 days if I am not mistaken to check on hand/stitches. Dr. Sorelle did not really check up on me, his MA did. No nurse but MA ( who are externs) I do not have any issues with the externs checking up on me but how do they know anything about post surgery when they do not have anyone shadowing them? No recommendations of PT or exercises for my hand. I was having a hard time at work since I was still having a lot of pain. Now I am back on seeing an Orthopedic Surgeon. So disappointed because I really do not want to have another surgery and how I wished that when Dr. Sorelle performed the surgery I will be pain free. I think Dr. Sorelle jumped to surgery so fast instead of analyzing first my hand and studying my sign and symptoms.
