| - We went on the Funny Bus last week as we had some family in town. We purchased the 'R-rated' tour online ($25) for Sunday. In addition, we were able to bring our own alcohol on the bus (beer & wine only- no glass), plus our cooler. When we got on the bus we noticed we were the only ones drinking- maybe because it was Sunday? Also, the average age on the bus was probably 65+. Were we on a bus with a Church Group? LOL- Just kidding! Oh well, that didn't stop us!
The tour started in Uptown and went throughout Sound End, Music Factory, Noda and Plaza Midwood with a 15-minute stop at Heist Brewery. For living in Charlotte I thought the tour did a nice overview of the city.
The comedian had a mix of history and comedic jokes, which were funny, but I did not think the comedy was 'R-Rated'. Nothing he said had me cracking up; however a lot of the history he mentioned was super interesting. I'm not sure if he was holding back because of our crowd, but I wished he was a little more funnier. A lot of the jokes were predictable; however don't get me wrong- we were laughing. I think a lot of the experience has to do with the group you are with.
Overall, for visitors or even Charlotteans, I would definitely recommend the Funny Bus!
