  • We were staying at the Palazzo and wanted a bite to eat for Breakfast, so we stumbled upon I Love Burgers inside the Restaurant Row that is shared by The Palazzo and its sister property, The Venetian. I will preface this review by saying that we probably didn't come to this establishment for the right type of meal -- I say that because the name obviously implies Burgers, so right off the bat, you should know it's not likely a good place for breakfast. Yes, they do have a breakfast menu, but it's not their specialty. Either way it goes, it was off the beaten path, we were hungry, and stumbled upon it, and thus, here is the review. It was around 9am and we wanted to put something in our stomachs prior to getting our day started, and while the Grand Lux Cafe is always available, we wanted something different. The breakfast menu isn't extensive, and is but half a page long. Again, understandable, as this place isn't geared towards the morning crowd, but cool of them to offer breakfast being in the Palazzo enclave. The place is very unassuming in the early hours of the day, with barely a patron in sight. They seem like they have far too much of waiter staff, and not enough cooks. On the one morning I went with my parents (they kept going back LOL), there were only 3 other patrons in the establishment, yet it took them forever to push orders out. They had like 5 waiters and what appeared like 1 cook. I'm going to assume that since it was a holiday weekend (4th of July), that the manager booked extra waiters, expecting more traffic through the early hours of the day. Such wasn't the case. On this particular morning, nothing on their breakfast menu looked enticing, but being that we were already in there, I figured to go with a sausage burrito and OJ. I ordered my burrito dry -- Sorry, I don't like sour cream and cheese/salsa all over a burrito for breakfast. Someone else in our party had an order of 2 eggs sunny side up and two others had omelets and the other had the 'On the Border' skillet. It took them exactly 24 minutes to cook my breakfast burrito, only for them to get it wrong (they flooded my burrito with the sour cream and salsa, when I specifically said I wanted it dry). Fortunately, it took them only 5 minutes more (Half hour total) to bring out a new one. To me, the burrito was super bland. The eggs had no taste, the sausage was without flavoring, the cheese was the only thing holding this thing together as far as a decent breakfast. I knew after the first bite that I had made a mistake coming to this place for breakfast. Others in our party were pleased with their breakfast, and they kept coming back to this place the rest of our stay, me, not so much. One thing that is cool is, if you keep your receipt and come back the next day, they give you 25% off your order -- These folks I was with kept coming every day for breakfast, and by the 3rd day they didn't need a receipt anymore, as the morning staff recognized them and kept giving them 25% off their orders the rest of the stay. I personally wouldn't come back to this place, unless it was the only option available again.
