  • Had high hopes after reading all the positive reviews. Had them come out and measure my living room which rounded up and less any areas not having to be covered is 24' by 15' = 360 sq ft. There are approximately 40 sq feet that don't get floored (where the stairs encroach in the living room, tile areas, etc so we are down to 320 square feet (rounded up). The quote I received was for 421.72 sq feet of material and 395 sq feet of labor all said and done $2299.12. I called and questioned the measurements and was only told that they would have someone explain this to me. I went to Lowes and had them quote the same job however went with a more expensive flooring (instead of 2.29/sq ft went with 2.49/sq ft). Lowes had a guy come out and measure with a very cool laser system that calculated immediately 316 sq ft with waste. Total job cost said and done is $1729.00. A savings of 570.12 by using Lowes instead. Getting installed tomorrow, if you don't hear from my again I'm truly happy with my Lowes installation. If you use Affordable Flooring I would suggest you do your own measurements first and compare, even get Lowes to come out and do a laser measurement for 40 bucks, it may save you hundreds.
