  • Tender. Juicy. Yummmmm My family has been coming to Gallagher's Steakhouse since I was eleven years old. We even tried the original Gallagher's in New York and I must say, the meat in Vegas is much tastier! We came here on a Saturday night around 8 pm for my sister's 31st birthday. The food was great (there were some bad dishes, but the server took care of it for us), service was awesome, ambiance was perfect for the celebration and the wine we ordered was on point. FOOD: When you come to Gallagher's you HAVE TO GET THE STEAK! The meat is dry-aged for 21 days. You can see the meat refrigerator in front of the restaurant with dates on how long the meat has been dry-aged for. We ordered the following dishes: 1. Clams, Casino: I was happy the clams weren't over cooked and they did a great job baking the clams perfectly so the inside was still juicy, but the top layer had a nice crunch to it. 2. Lamb Lollipops: The lamb was medium rare! It was seasoned well, cooked just the way we like it and it had a tasty green sauce on top that made the dish great! 3. Roasted Beet Salad: If you love beets and is craving a refreshing salad to enjoy, then I highly recommend this dish. The salad was a great serving size for two people to share and gave us a break from all the heavy foods like onion rings, meat, etc. 4. Center Cut Filet Mignon Medium Rare: I know the place is known for its dry-aged NY strip, but I preferred the filet mignon over the NY. It was so tender, well-seasoned, thick and succulent. I asked for extra candied garlic cloves as well on the side to enjoy with my filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes. It's a smaller cut, so it was just the right amount for me. It couldn't have been more than 11 ounces. So if you want a bigger piece of meat, I would suggest the rib-eye. 5. Dry-Aged New York Strip Bone-In: This dish we originally had some issues with. The cut we received was really grizzly and chewy. My sister's fiancee chewed on the first piece for almost two minutes before finally spitting it out into his napkin. The waiter immediately noticed and gave us a new piece of steak that was dry-aged to perfection, seasoned well with a fine texture and buttery flavor. The fat marbling was excellent! You can also order a side of garlic cloves and the dish went well with the mashed potatoes as well. 6. Cowboy Rib-Eye: This is the fattiest meat and it came with the bone-in. The rib-eye we received was rich, tender and juicy. It had generous marbling throughout, but primarily on the outside. It was seasoned well, but I am not too fond of too much fat in my meats, so this was my least favorite. I've had better rib-eye elsewhere. 7. Sides: Mashed Potatoes and Onion Rings. (All dishes are ordered/charged separately). Mashed potatoes was amazing! I wouldn't order the onion rings again. 8. New England Clam Chowder: I am not sure if I've had better New England Clam Chowder anywhere else in Vegas aside from the Palace Station Oyster Bar. What I love about this dish is it's not too thick, but it isn't watery either. The ratio of clams, potatoes, bacon and veggies was great! It was enough to share between my husband and I. SERVICE: AMAZING SERVICE! I always love coming here. The server was so attentive to us. We were seated in a more private area in the other dining room since it was my sister's birthday and the server still kept an eye on us. He switched our NY Strip when he noticed it was inedible. He served all the food within a timely manner and we were never left waiting long. The busser and hostess was also a pleasure to be around. PRICE: For two appetizers, a salad and soup, three entrees and two sides, the entire bill including tip was around $290, which is not bad. There was 5 of us so it came out to roughly around $58 a person. This is reasonable for the size of all the dishes, service and quality. Overall, I love Gallagher's!!! I am excited to come back again for the next family celebration. Happy Dining, J Tran
