  • We usually stay at the Mandalay Bay but this time we stayed at The Signature. We used the lazy river pool at the MGM and we stayed in Tower 1 of The Signature. We were much closer to the MGM pool than our friends who stayed at the MGM. There are two ways to get to the MGM pool from the Signature. You can either take the moving sidewalk to the front entrance or take the back entrance through the front door of The Signature. The back entrance is closer but you have to go outside and there is no moving sidewalk. We brought in a baby floating innertube for my toddler. I saw a couple others with their own innertubes, but most people rented for the day. I asked someone who had a large and a medium innertube. They said the large one was a rental for $16/day and the medium one they bought in the shop for $12. When people left they gave their rentals to us, and when we left we gave them to another family. You show your room key and they check your bags when you enter, but not sure what they are looking for. They told a couple they couldn't bring in a can, so they let them pour it into a cup and bring it in. We got a $75 food voucher from The Signature and used it at the MGM Cabana Grill. We got chicken strips, french fries, and a pretzel with nacho cheese. The MGM pools and lazy river are heated and felt like the perfect temperature. Whenever we stayed at the Mandalay Bay we were freezing in the lazy river and my kids lips turned blue. The kids had to always run to the spa to warm up. The lazy river at the MGM was so nice, we never even had to find where the spa was located. The lazy river here is also much longer than the lazy river at the Mandalay Bay. It would be nice if you didn't have to get squirted on the head with water in the lazy river, but there is one part where you have to get wet (unless you want to get out everytime) Tip: If you have a stroller or wheelchair you can access the island, but you have to go up the ramp, then down the ramp and through the tunnel. My toddler loved the flat area by the waterfall. It was the perfect depth for him. Maybe 2 feet deep with sprinklers. Only Minuses: they let people smoke in the pool and lazy river and they yell at you to get out of the pools at 4:45. Thought they could have asked a little bit nicer. Plus the pool says it closes at 5pm (which is already early enough), but they force you out at 4:45.
