For the money we spent...definitely not worth it...I love good food and don't mind spending for it but there was little that was special.
- The cocktails (we had 3 different kinds) were not good and too over priced...meant to be fancy but nothing special.
- the risotto was much to be desired. The octopus with it was cooked very well (tender not chewy) but the risotto itself really was plain (and a bit salty)
- the beets were nothing special. I love beets but not worth it. The best part were the greens with truffle oil.
- the tartare was good (only appetizer we got that was worth anything)
Main Courses:
- Duck (2 out of 4 liked it)
- Hanger Steak AMAZING! Loved it. This was the only really good thing on the menu.
Dessert:
- Smores: NOT worth it. Weird combinations didn't go well together. "Elder flour" marshmallow fluff Weird. Just tasted like fake grape flavor. Not good with the "smores". Served with chocolate ganache and honey grahams. Cheap and didn't go. The ice cream with it was the best part. We actually left a lot on the plate.
- The apple dessert was also REALLY good. The ice cream was great (no it wasn't goat cheese ice cream, they no longer have this).
Overall, the steak and the apple dessert were the ONLY things worth going back for...and yes they were awesome but 2 or 3 (including the duck) out of 9 is not a good record (33% good food).
Seating note: chairs upstairs are really uncomfortable (if you sit back), even for skinny people, they are much less comfortable than the benches.
