  • Two years later.. same deal. Was with a school that was not aware of what you get when you book with this company. I knew the moment they pulled up and I saw the dreaded Triple J logo across the back of the dirty bus that we were in for a real treat! And sure enough, they did not let me down. The buses were about an hour late getting to our school, and once we got all four buses loaded and guess what! Flat tire. Took them two hours to take it down to the bus yard and fix it before they came back. Meanwhile, the bus drivers were complaining that we had planned on stopping at the Santa Monica Pier before heading into Disneyland and California Adventure for Grad Nite. This was and had been on the itinerary. At least one bus driver knew about it, so I would think communication would have taken place at some point before they came to get us. Unfortunately, because of the flat, we had to cancel Santa Monica and disappoint our students. This nightmare didn't end there like I hoped it would. In several instances, we nearly hit other vehicles on the road. The driver would cross his chest, saying a prayer after each near miss. I will say that he did an excellent job getting us through the fog at the top of Cajon Pass despite losing his prescription glasses out of the bus window just before we drove through it. The real treat occurred at the end of the night. It was pouring when Grad Nite was close to being over at 1:30 in the morning. We told the students to get back to the buses, so that they could stay as dry and warm as possible. You would think that with it raining as much as it was, the bus drivers would be there and the heat would be running. Nope, not this night. When the bus drivers did show up, ours blasted the AC at a cool 63 degrees until another bus driver told him to turn it to heat because it was cold and wet outside. Additionally, the bus had taken on some water as well with it raining outside. The hatch above one of the students was dripping water all over her as we got the bus loaded up. This I was able to overlook on account of the fact that the same tire on the same bus was flat yet again, telling myself and the other chaperones that they poorly patched the first flat before reloading the 50 students back on the bus and driving them out of state. When asked how we were going to get that bus load of students home, our driver came back at us with, "I don't know, but WE are going home." Eventually, something was figured out and we got our buses all going. Exhausted from the days events, we all went to sleep and were awakened by a sudden stop on the side of the road around 4:30 AM where the bus driver stepped off of the bus for about 60 seconds. Random stop, but at this point all everyone wanted to do was sleep until we got back to our school. Thanks for another experience, Triple J.
