It's been about a week since I shipped my faulty caliper to A-Tac and they have mailed me a check to reimburse me for the part. I think it may have been the owner but he called me personally and apologized for all the trouble I'd been through. It of course didn't make the fact that I'd missed two days of work and had to pay for parts that I probably didn't need go away. However I do appreciate their willingness to help and it may have been a fluke that I had such bad luck. I don't know that i'd go back but it doesn't really matter since I'm 1,000 miles away.
