| - This place was absolutely adorable. It almost has the quaint, cottage feel to it. The location is conveniently by McGill, rue St. Laurent, Mount Royal Park and of course Schwartz. Depends on how far you want to walk. The only downfall is it's quite a distance to a subway line. Personally, I like traveling on the subway lines more as they trains come more frequently and it's easier for me to navigate. You just have to take the bus/ street car if you're coming from Old Port/ Old Montreal.
Parking. I don't want to complain too much since I was not the one who booked the places to stay at but as a driver, there was extreme limited parking. In all fairness, on the website, they did say parking was limited and if you wanted to reserve a spot, it is $15/night. The roads are one way so in my opinion, if you see a parking spot available, take it as soon as you can; just make sure you are not trespassing. Since my friends and I arrived in the afternoon, there happened to have been one parking spot available and we were able to snag it. Just took a while to get there because of the one way streets. I was able to parallel park in the super narrow spot, and nothing happened to my car! Or at least what I've noticed. can't make any other promises.
Wifi. Can be down at times. If it is down, you may have to contact the office and they will reset it for you. it can take a while.
Breakfast. People may look at you strangely if you take it back to your room. Oh yeah, dress properly when going to breakfast.
Limited hot water. Being in a room with three other people, they said there was limited hot water so watch your shower times and try to distribute the times. Perhaps half in the morning, half in the evening.
Beds. In our room, we had a bed and a pull out sofa. We attempted to take turns between the sofa bed and bed. I ended up with the comfy bed for most of the nights.
Noise level has to be almost zero. The walls/floors/ceilings are thin so be just be aware other people are living in the building. It is an older building.
Kitchen was great! There's a metro near by if you need to pick up some groceries! On top of that, there's a kettle - great for making my instant coffee as most hotels don't have kettles due to safety issues.
