  • Orange Leaf is by far the worst of the frozen yogurt shops in the area. Being as in love with frozen treats as I am, I was so hoping that I would be able to find a new fro-yo shop. This place is missing the heart and passion that makes a small business succeed. There was nothing special about this place, which in and of itself would have warranted additional visits. Far worse, however, was the lack of care I felt from the staff. First, the good: It was clean. There were at least ten varieties of yogurt. The tart was alright. Price was comparable to other fro-yo shops. What could be improved: Service: This is a hugely important category for me. Unfortunately, quality service, or really any service, is missing from Orange Leaf. When we walked in, there was nobody there to greet us. My boyfriend and I looked for a sample cup to try the flavours. After a minute or so of wandering about, the staff door opened, and a middle-aged man appeared, still without a greeting. My boyfriend walked towards him and asked for a sample cup. I was only a couple of steps behind. The man hands him a single cup and still does not offer me one despite my clear intention of also wanting to try the flavours. But, refusing to be deterred from my fro-yo ration, I also ask for a sample cup and receive a single one. At this point, I'm considering whether to try every single one and make full use of my single sample cup, or just trying a single flavour and risking it. I'm no biologist, but I feel like the health concerns are real. At the very least, my palate told me that a lot of these flavours should not have been mixed. I go with 4 flavours, and dislike almost every single one. Food: Tart is my go-to. It's how I test the quality of the product without being distracted by flavourings. Orange Leaf's tart flavour left much to be desired. The tart tasted like a tub of plain fro-yo had been churned half-heartedly. The ice crystals were huge and left my mouth and stomach dissatisfied. Strawberry: holy moly avoid this. This tasted like a few too many pumps of #5 food flavour was added. There were two non-dairy options: pineapple and orange. Pineapple was underwhelming, but orange was passable. Conclusion: This place felt and tasted like a cheap knock-off of a popular fro-yo franchise. The signs and many flavours were very similar to that fro-yo place as well. I was disappointed by my experience here and will not be coming back.
