  • With 2 years residing in the Phoenix Area, one thing you can't miss, is the extraordinary number of "Mexican", "Tex-Mex" and/or "Southwestern" offerings there are - many not worth the trouble visiting! But, if you continue being adventurous, looking for that great place you can come back to, time after time - and have flavor and value, service and attention, cleanliness and attention to detail not to mention terrific ambience... El Barrio is it! First off, if you've never had a table side serving of stand by your table guacamole-making you'll be so impressed, no other restaurant will ever do better for you! And that's not just about the art, but the taste - Wow! Plus, they use Pomegranits - another Wow! So far over the many visits we've tried many of their beverages, alcoholic or not, and we've never been dismayed, so I won't get into their details, but the food is a different story! Everything from their ice-cold beers, pozole verde, the Oaxaca pateles, just to mention a few dishes are fantastic. By the way, don't leave without getting their 'Comida Chingona' T-shirt (a riot). Enjoy, we continue to do so!
