  • WARNING ABOUT USING THIS PLACE FOR HYDROTHERAPY "REHABILITATION"!! The hydrotherapy "therapist" there is NOT certified or trained in any way, shape, or form. She is not even a licensed vet tech. We entrusted our dog to her "care" to rehab our dog's leg following a CCL surgery. Twenty minutes before our dog's second session, she called us to say that she was running late but had lleft instructions with the young men who would be going in the water with her. When we arrived, they said that they had received no instructions from her and that it was "up to us" about what should happen for the session. Our dog had surgery on her one leg and also is pending surgery on her second back leg. We thought that the people working with her understood how fragile her back legs are. We thought that they actually had some training. Turns out, NONE! These kids, with no supervsion and NO clue what they were doing, didn't even notice that our dog was in obvious distress. I told them to pull her out. Again, "OK, it's up to you." After 14 weeks post-surgery on the first leg, our dog was carrying the leg that was operated on the following day. The so-called "hydrotherapist" said it's normal for them to be sore so we waited a few days but she continued to carry the leg. We took her to the vet and it turns out, that the line that was placed in her leg had been snapped. That necessitated ANOTHER surgery on the leg that had already been operated on. So now, my poor dog is again in pain and STILL needs a surgery on the other leg which we now can't do because she's recovering from having had to have another surgery on the leg that was operated on in December. Following this experience, I researched more online about qualifications to be a certified canine hyrdrotherapist. This woman has none of them. AND she wasn't even there for the appointment that she did have with us. In attempting to discuss this with her, she was defensive and dismissive. I can't stand seeing my dog in this much pain. The first surgery was bad enough let alone the need to have to go back in to fix what these people did. And she STILL needs an operation on her second back leg which will now have to be delayed. It breaks my heart and I only hope that the other leg hold up on her while she's recovering from this ordeal. I just want to put a warning out there. If you think you are getting a Certified Canine Hydrotherapist at Cozy Inn Pet Resort, you are not. I wish I would have looked into that more before placing my dog under their care. Their website says that this woman is "trained." When we asked her more about her training, she had nothing to say except to ay that it was "in-house training." I'd hate to see other dogs recovering from a CCL surgery go through what my poor dog is dealing with now.
