We visited this Apple store earlier this week to pick up an iPhone for my girlfriend. She renewed her plan with Rogers and they recommended that she come here to pick it up. We weren't comfortable with having the phone shipped to us since they use UPS, which is not reliable - but that's another review.
I was very impressed with our experience at this Apple store. Apply really puts a great focus on customer experience excellence. In my opinion, this is one of the things that differentiates them from their competition.
There are lots of people working in this store. They are easy to identity. Every single one of the people that we interacted with seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and really wanted to help us have a positive experience.
The activation process was smooth. It went better than I expected.
Two things that keep this from being a 5 star review:
- The signage in the store isn't great. We basically did a circle around the store and had to ask a few people before we found out where the new phone sales/activations section was. Perhaps that's because it's not in the same spot every day - I'm not sure.
- The place is absolutely jammed full with people at all times. Most of these people aren't buying anything. They're just hanging out and playing with iPads, Macs, and so on.. I guess that's part of brand building for Apple, but it's kind of annoying when you're trying to buy something and there is a constant parade of people pushing by you. The store is very large but still feels cramped because of all the people.
