| - For all 5 of my stays to date, each and every hotel staff member has been both personable and professional, interested in taking care of any specific needs I have. Also, they are well staffed so I don't have to wait for anything, including housekeeping.
The private shuttle to and from Pittsburgh International Airport is available 24/7 (approximately 10 minute drive). Drivers are very friendly and helpful, and arrive at airport generally within 10 minutes (or less) of calling hotel. Hotel is not in flight path and is far enough away from airport that noise is not a problem.
Rooms are very clean. Wifi and all electronics work (e.g., every light, TV, bathroom fan, etc.). Linens (bed and bath) feel like real cotton and are of substantial thickness. Mattresses are exceptionally comfortable (when I inquired, staff said all rooms have same mattress).
Lobby area is set up like cafe, with 6 attractive tables and nicely upholstered chairs. Breakfast bar area is just around corner (10 feet) so as to provide all needed items but still maintain a nice "cafe" area. Breakfast has generous serving hours (4-10 AM) and provides fresh waffles, breads, pastries, cereal, yogurts, fresh fruit. Outside of those hours, one can obtain freshly brewed coffee or tea at any time, as well as food and drink from a vending area.
A separate, quiet "work room" (aka office space) is located just off lobby. Has computer with wifi access and printer.
The small and well appointed gym on the second floor is clean and functional. For those interested in walking/exercising in something other than an interior gym, a very large public school property is located 1/2 block from the hotel. It has a large grassy area, good security and is very clean. The school also has several tracks.
As for eating, there are a number of options within a short walking distance (e.g., Primanti, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Wings Suds & Spuds, Bob Evans).
