Definitely enjoyed my stay here.
We booked one of their suites at a discounted rate, and it was a wonderful experience.
The room was big and luxurious. Very clean and for the first time in a long time, finally, a hotel room that DOES NOT smell like cigarette smoke masked by a thousand metric pounds of some frebreeze knock off. This place is legit.
The lounge area outside was nice and cozy. The bar area, although quite small - still offered a dash of fun. I wish their music was a bit more upbeat. They have this signature cocktail - it was the Westin's signature drink - ask for that - and it is SOOOO delicious! hands down, the most refreshing cocktail i have ever had! it wasnt too sweet, wasnt too tangy, wasnt too anything - it was just perfect! yum.
staff were also very nice - although we really only saw them when we checked in and then when we checked out. no complaints here whatsoever.
the hotel is also located right in the heart of all the buzz. It is within walking distance from a lot of activities. You can also hop on the trolley, which the hotel gave us a one day pass each to use.
My only qualm is the parking. They offer valet parking for like $40 (??) OR - you can park the car across the street for free, and that's the one they share with the university. It is not that bad of a walk, but I was already so very tired and we really weren't expecting to go through all that to park.
-- another thing: this was our first time here in phoenix ... it was the weekend and everything seemed to close by 9-10pm ... we were super bummed about that - why is that?
