It is a place I have visited inmates. It is not a high class establishment. It is probably not even the best where jails are concerned. But they are somewhat organized where visits are concerned, and the staff reserves most of their rancor for the inmates, so it should not be too uncomfortable for a visit to a person here. Good central location. Not that easy to park on the street, but not impossible. But the thing is to stay the hell away from here except as an outside visitor. Family members are not permitted face to face visits here, only video, which is recorded. Attorney visits are recorded too, just without audio. If you bail someone out, keep in mind they won't get out right away, not for 12 hours usually. And then they are let out on the street without a last-minute phone call. There is an attorney's office across the street from the jail which allows recently released detainees to make a free phone call. Or some go to the Greyhound bus terminal and place a collect call.
