| - Again, this update is not for the motel, it's for the so-called store that is located on their property. I didn't stay at the motel, but I did stop by and go into the store yesterday (6/21/17), I must have been out of my mind, after my previous experience that I shared in my previous review here of the store. I stopped by to pick up a quick snack, figuring what could go wrong.
The price on the item on the shelf was CLEARLY labelled as $2.99. I went to pay for it ($5 cash), and the clerk whose name unfortunately I did not get, handled me back $1.01 in change. I immediately noticed, pointed out to him it was $2.99. He shrugged, saying the register told him it was $3.99!!! I was pissed. I said either honor the labelled price and give me my correct change or refund my money. He actually said, "NOPE, it's $3.99 and anyway, can't open the register". After raising my voice (I was pissed), another clerk rushed over, went and verified the pricing on the shelf, opened up the register and handed me the $1 owed. No apology.
AVOID patronizing this store, not only are the clerks rude, the prices are high. As I posted in my previous review, if you're stuck in this area, walk across the street to the Rebel gas station and go their store, you'll save a bunch. Why anyone would stay at the Motel 6 on Tropicana is beyond me--I think I stayed there about 4 years ago...if you really want to stay in the area, stay either at Howard Johnson's or America's Best Value Inn, both next door.
The store on the Motel 6 property is just waiting to take advantage of you. Do NOT patronize that place. I'll never, ever, go there again. ZERO stars.
