  • For Crash of Rhinos, excellent customer service and an outstanding painting job are paramount to what their company represents. Crash of Rhinos painted the exterior of our home (one story slump block with wood trim) as well as large outdoor planters and some perimeter walls in late November 2015. From the initial phone contact to the job completion, owners Kim and Mike Ricker and their employees were a dynamic team. The first appointment was set up through the office, and Mike arrived on time. With his video camera in hand, Mike and I walked around the exterior of the house as he videotaped all areas to be painted and any concerns to be addressed. The estimate was fair (we received two others) and detailed regarding work to be done. On another appointment, Kim, the colorist, helped with the color selection and paint sheen. She painted several different sample colors on the slump block to determine the perfect color. Not only did Mike and Kim respond in a timely manner to every phone call and e-mail, but the rest of the Rhinos' team contributed their expertise as well. Painters Jorge and Victor prepped and painted. All windows, bushes, patios, and pool were covered and protected from paint or overspray. Attention was given to filling any cracks or holes in the slump block. The line where slump block meets fascia board was painted straight and evenly. Everyday cleanup was a priority. Project manager Jolene coordinated the job by e-mail from the office. Her daily communications included what the painters had accomplished that day and what they would be doing the following day. Job foreman Lalo oversaw all the work. He was on site checking progress, answering any questions I had, and making sure we were happy with the work. On the final walk through, Lalo made sure that nothing was overlooked and that we were very pleased customers. And, we were! If we need any exterior painting to be done in the future, Crash of Rhinos will be our first and only phone call to get on their schedule. The "icing on the cake" was Kim Ricker's personal handwritten notecard thanking us for our business!
