| - Being a restaurant that bases itself around burgers, you'd think that they'd be able to cook them properly. Unfortunately this is not the case. Second time to this location and both times the burgers were obviously overcooked (first time the burger was terribly under-seasoned and the second time terribly over-seasoned--perhaps a Breathalyzer should be installed in the kitchen?). I'm uncertain as to whether they train the line-cooks to touch a burger to test for tenderness (which helps with gauging for how done a patty is, seeing that the cooks here need help with that). The service was generally inattentive and absent-minded. However, if the meat weren't overcooked, it might have been quality meat. In the restaurant business, though, often the older meat is sent out to people who order "well-done" (blasphemy). Blu Burger Grille seems to just send out the old, scorched meat to anybody if there's any laying around, is my guess.
Too much for a sub-par burger. I'd rather go back to In-N-Out (blargh). In short, if you have low-expectations or are drunk and wanting to overpay for a meal, you'd love this joint. Two stars because the bartender made a rather good dirty martini.
Please, to the owner, skip the condescending "apologetic comment" to this review. You screwed up twice and pretty badly. Learn and move on.
