| - I like Aunt Chiladas because it's really close to home and it's a cute little joint, but the food is average and the service is below average. Now, I have only been here when it's been quite busy. I came here once on a Friday night, and I've been here twice for trivia night on Wednesdays. Today's review is specifically about trivia night.
I suck at trivia. Seriously, I'm terrible, but I go to surround myself with my awesome friends, who also suck at trivia -- just not as much! Ordering food during trivia night takes FOREVER. And the room that trivia takes place is in tiny, almost as tiny as the tables. It's really hard to eat, especially if you're with a group larger than 3. It's also quite loud. I was sitting right next to the trivia host tonight and could barely hear him.
The menu has plenty to choose from, but I haven't ever truly enjoyed any of the dishes I've gotten here. It's not bad, but it's also not good. I will say that their tortilla chips are great though. The salsa... not so much.
I'd probably come here for the drinks, but not the food. And I'd recommend sitting outside when it cools down. Their patio is quite lovely!
