I lived in King Edwards Apartment. There are two buildings side by side: Old King Edwards and New King Edwards. They are identical in quality. To be honest, the apartment is pretty good and very cheap for someone who has lived in NYC/LA/Boston. By Pittsburgh standards, it may be slightly pricey. The office is on the first floor of the building, which is convenient. If there are maintenance issues, it will be fixed in a day or two after filing a request. The location is superb - right next to a bus stop and plenty of restaurants around.
The reason it is getting one star from me is because of SECURITY DEPOSIT. I feel cheated since they charged $215 for cleaning refrigerator/freezer/sink/burners/shower/toilet/sink/floor. I have uploaded a redacted version of their deductions from the deposit. It clearly states in the lease agreement that normal wear and tear is acceptable (required by law). I cleaned everything thoroughly for one whole day, and it was far cleaner when I left than when I moved in. I think, they charge a few hundred dollars to everyone by default. Sounds like time for some class-action lawsuit.
