| - I had written a negative review of Eduardo's cleaners previously and then removed it, since I wanted to make sure that I gave them another chance. My previous issues with Eduardo had been with the man himself, his lack of professionalism and slow response to messages. This, combined with the fact that the cleaners never showed up on time (we have used them 4 times at this point) or even on the right DAY in many cases had upset me. I decided to give them one more shot to make sure that they had an opportunity to make things right. Here was my experience.
I contacted Eduardo a week ahead of time by phone to make an appointment and ensure that they would come out. Since unpredictable pricing had been an issue in the past (and still is), I made sure to confirm with him on the phone how pricing worked. He told me that it would be $40 per hour per person. I told him this was fine, but that he should please make sure that it didn't go over $150 in total, and tell the crew to stop work after they had reached that mark if it was going to cost more money. Eduardo agreed verbally to that.
On the day of the cleaning, the crew was 3 and a half hours late (supposed to arrive at 12:00PM, arrived at 3:30PM). When they arrived the crew all plugged in their phones to charge them (understandable, if a bit unprofessional) and then started working, asking me where the master bedroom was, and where all the bedrooms were. I explained where things were, which was odd, since this was the fourth time they had been to the house, but it was also the fourth different crew who had come by.
As they were working, I noticed the lady working in the kitchen was cleaning my non-stick pans with a magic eraser. Magic erasers will destroy non-stick, as they are a very fine grained abrasive (that's how they work). I had not asked them to touch my pans, since I didn't think it would be part of the cleaning service but unfortunately the (formerly) non-stick pans that they scoured with a magic eraser are now destroyed. That's about $150 of damage right off of the top.
Next, I found a trash bag in my living room which contained several children's toys. I pulled the toys out of the trash bag before they had an opportunity to throw it away but I have no idea if they also threw away a bunch of other stuff.
Near the end of the appointment, they said "we're done!" and I asked why the upstairs bathroom hadn't been touched. They claimed that they hadn't noticed it and then went up to clean it.
After they left, I discovered that they had also thrown a bunch of trash into our laundry baskets, apparently just sweeping the content of the bathroom floor directly into the basket and forgetting about it.
The final insult to all of this was that this was all performed in about an hour and a half by a crew of three people. Given what Eduardo had quoted me on the phone of $40 per person per hour, I expected to be charged about $180. More than we'd agreed, but only a little more. When he got off of the phone with his main cleaner, they then charged me $216!!! So now I am out $216, PLUS I have to replace the pans he destroyed, and we had to dig through the TRASH in the laundry baskets in order to clean things up!
Extremely disappointed and frustrated with Eduardo's attitude and his cleaners work. I will absolutely never use him again, and I would encourage everybody in the area to avoid him at all costs. I've also contacted him to give him an opportunity to remedy the situation, but I have not yet heard back. Given his track record, I suspect I will not be hearing from him.
