| - After reading a review on BlogTO about the ice cream sundaes at Sweet Creamery, I knew I had to give it a try.
I was not disappointed.
The store is quite unassuming and we almost missed it when we walked by. It's not overly decorated or fancy, but what they lack in style they make up with in pure, amazing taste.
We each ordered a different sundae, which we would later come to regret. I got "The Sackville" - butter pecan and pralines 'n' cream ice cream, topped with whipped cream, white chocolate chips and caramel. Yum. The boyfriend got "The Wellesley" - moose tracks ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate chips and double chocolate hot fudge. Both of these were served in a waffle cone.
Where does the regret lie? After diving into our sundaes we quickly discovered that our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs and we simply could not finish our desserts. After paying $15 for two sundaes ($7.50 each) it was a bit of a disappointment to have barely made a dent in the mountain of deliciousness that sat before us. However, we agreed that overall it was a terrific ice cream experience and we would know better for the future.
We have yet to go back because it is a bit out of the way based on our work/home geography, but if you're in the area and looking for a snack (and have brought along either a friend or a large appetite), then this is the ice cream place for you.
