  • I came here with such high expectations, I love every beer I've tried from this company, but this was my first time at the brewery/restaurant. We went on a Friday night, so we expected the wait and we didn't mind, my friends and I went to the bar to get a beer while we waited and the bartender was extremely rude to us. Asked "anything else you need?" In a very sarcastic and annoyed voice. Like I'm sorry dude, I thought your job as a bartender was to serve your patrons. So that was a bad first impression. After about 25 minutes we got a table. We ordered appetizers of chips and dip, which was decent- however I'll say the salsa was excellent, and we also got wings for the table which were also very good. As for the main course I'll start by saying I need to stop trusting local breweries in AZ to make a decent plate of Mexican food. I ordered the chicken asado pub plate with a side flour tortilla, I ate the avocado off the top. The rice was over peppered, the chicken was bland and rubbery, and I never got the tortilla. The Mexican street corn was a huge let down of what Mexican street corn actually is and tastes like. The plate all together served was underwhelming and had, in my opinion, a foul odor. Our waiter could not be found easily. My boyfriend had to ask for his side of fries twice. Although the fries were also very good. But good beer that I can buy at any market, good French fries, wings, and salsa (all appetizers) are not sufficient enough to make up for how rudely we were treated by the bartender when we first arrived, not does it make up for the lack of service, having to ask for water refills in a state like Arizona is absolutely ridiculous to me. It's over 100 degrees out, and I am not a camel. Everyone else I was with seemed to enjoy their meals, so perhaps it was just the chicken I ordered. I didn't leave hungry, I filled up on the delicious salsa and chips and my boyfriend was kind enough to share his fries with me as well. I'm not normally one to complain about a meal, but the bartender who initially served us perhaps put a stigma on my experience here. I manage a restaurant myself and if my staff ever spoke to a customer the way he spoke to my friends and I, I would send them home and tell them to come back with a better attitude.
