| - We were celebrating an event, so we wanted to love this meal. It was supposed to be our big dinner out for this trip to Vegas. In fairness to the restaurant, one of our party was not feeling well, which coloured the experience. However, we did signal the server that we didn't want to order too much food so as not to aggravate the situation. Instead of advising us that the portions are large, the server kept trying to upsell us on more dishes. Since the sides being suggested were $24, it came across as an attempt to pad the bill. A simple word of warning would have prevented us from ordering dishes that left our table 3/4 full. What we had was fine, but not spectacular. I ordered the seafood sampler for two ($56), which was fine. One of our party ordered a ribeye that was delicious. The deconstructed caesar salad was average, as were the fingerling potatoes. The Brentwood corn was quite good.
Servers, please take note: your job is to provide customers with a positive experience. If you do, no complaint will be made over the cost of the bill, and your efforts will be reflected in the tip. If you don't, all that your guests will remember is how you allowed your greed to overshadow their fun.
