| - Called in to make an appointment for a shellac manicure for two people (myself and my best friend). They gave us an appointment for 4:30pm. We finished our lunches over at Unionville then drove over. We were a little early (arrived at 4pm), but they were able to take us in right away. My friend started off before me, as I had to wait for my nail tech to finish off with another appointment.
We were given colours to choose from. Once my friend chose her colour, the nail tech started with her manicure. She seemed very meticulous, which was good for my friend. By 4:40pm, my nail tech finally came to where I was seated. No problem for running late as I understand some people may take longer with their appointments than others. But here is where everything went kind of iffy and downfall for me. Before my nail tech sat down, she basically hovered over the desk and was just texted away on her phone. Without any greeting or even looking at me, she sat down and grabbed my hand to remove my previously done shellac. During the manicure, she would stop what she was doing and go back onto her phone and text - still not even saying a word to me. Also, she buffed all my nails on my right hand, but only two on my left. Lastly, everyone at the nail salon got shoulder massages after their nails were done, but me? I only got a hand massage which then my nail tech went back to texting on her phone when she was done with me. It's funny cause after my best friend and I left, she even told me how she noticed my nail tech was not fully present during the time I was there. She noticed the same things I did, such as not getting a shoulder massage and my nail tech being on her phone multiple times. I came in to relax and have a fun girls day, but that wasn't too much of a relaxing and fun time for me, sadly.
