| - Finally got to try their cheese tarts and original double fromage cheesecakes!
Arrived around 11:30am and the store was pretty much empty. The employee was very friendly and welcoming. Also noticed some japanese snacks on the side.
Cheese tart ($8.75):
When I bought it, it was still warm. I reheated it a few hours later to eat. The cheese just oozes out when you rip apart the tart. The cheese is not too sweet or sour (Bake code's is way too sour), very creamy, has a strong flavour, and not too thick. The tart is very crispy, not too buttery, and very flaky. There's more than enough filling for the amount of tart!
Double fromage cheesecake (4.5" - $18.75):
THE BEST CHEESECAKE EVER. The entire cheesecake is covered in cheesecake crumbs. The top layer that is lighter in colour is supposed to be frozen cheesecake much like New York cheesecake, but to me it's more like vanilla ice cream that is very smooth and and creamy. The darker layer is Japanese cheesecake that is very firm and strong in flavour. When you eat both layers together, the flavour is perfect. Not too sweet, just the way I like it. There is also a little bit of cake at the bottom.
Overall, I love their cheese tarts and the cheesecakes, but this is more of an occasional thing for me. The prices are a little high for the portions.
Suggestion to business: How about some mini cheese tarts more like the size of Chinese egg tarts? This will make it easier to eat as the cheese filling oozes out everywhere and there's not enough tart for all the cheese.
